How to know the difference from a wasp and a bee

Flight Pattern
Wasps and bees move differently in terms of their flight patterns and movements. Wasps tend to fly in a more direct, straight line and are known for their agility and quick movements. On the other hand, bees have a slower and more rhythmic flight pattern, with their wings beating in a distinctive, recognizable pattern. Additionally, bees are more likely to hover in place or move in a circular pattern, while wasps are more likely to fly in a straight line.

How they look
Wasps are bright in colour and smooth, bee's are duller in colour and slightly furry. Bee's are usually more rounder in size but you ight need a trained eye to tell them apart on the odd occassion

Frequently Ask Question

some Faq's

  • Do you remove the nest
We can do if you can see it. Most nests you won't beable to find. Could be in a wall cavity, between floors etc. We will not remove the nest if its still active as it can be very dangerous for the technician aswel as the customer. We treat the nest from an external point and if you want it to be remove after we can do so at a later date at an additional cost.
  • How long does it take for the nest to die after treatment
Once treated for the first 2 - 3 hours you're going to see alot more activity, so it's best to insure any windows near the treated area are closed for this period. In general wasp nests are dead within 24 hours, but we say allow 48 hours as there might be a few stray wasps still about. If your are still seeing activity coming from that area give us a call back and we will come back out and re-treat free of charge
  • What happens it we are still seeing wasps
As long as its the same nest in the same area we will come out and re-treat free of charge. We gaurantee our work
  • If you don't remove the nest would it not return next year
Wasps are only active for 1 season and start dying off in the Autumm. Once the nest is dead wasps will not re-occupy. The newly formed queen's in the Autumm months will hiberbate in warm area's and come summer they will get there worker wasps to begin building a new nest
  • Can you kill bee's
We can kill bee's, but we cannot kill honney bee's. Honney bee's are very similar looking to wasps apart from they are not as bright and a little furry. They also act differntly when near the nest. If you have honey bee's best to find a bee keeper as we can't help
